The design system of GovTech Edu, Seragam.
GovTech Edu, specializing in Indonesia education platforms, required a public website to document its design and content system. Named Seragam (meaning "uniform"), it reflects both consistency and Indonesia’s student attire.
As the sole content strategist, I was responsible for all content on the public-facing website. I led workshops and review sessions with UX Writers and Brand Copywriters across the organization to establish clear, unified guidelines for our platforms.
The writing guidelines we established include Communication Principles, Tone and Voice standards, Inclusive Writing practices, and specialized strategies for government platform requirements, particularly around regulatory content and policy adaptations.
Working closely with Designers and Engineers, I defined the writing structure for component documentation (Button, Modal, Toast, etc), establishing the framework Designers used to create consistent content across all components. I also established the overall information architecture and microcopy standards.
Launched successfully in Indonesian, Seragam is now the foundation for all GovTech Edu platforms. Beyond improving consistency across our products, it sets a new standard for government digital services in Indonesia as a blueprint for other ministries and public sector organizations to create more user-friendly government websites.
